Hudson Valley Entrepreneurs and Consultants Association Highlights for 94 / 95.

Dear Friend:

The past year has been a very exciting one for the Association! We have had numerous highlights - A sampling follows:

1. Spring 1994 - Monthly joint Thursday evening meetings started.
2. Media publicity, interesting speakers, networking encouraged.
3. Spring 1994 - Formal organization created with officers with defined responsibilities.
4. August 1994 - Association checking account and $15/yr dues structure established. Nominal charge for meeting attendance.
5. Spring 1995 - Internet URL established by Marist Graduate Students for the Association. Member Jerry Kain was a key contributor to this activity. .
6. Spring 1995 - New officer slate in place, monthly officer's meeting to develop and implement strategy. Strategies include a monthly newsletter and Internet URL enhancements.

The meeting programs over the past year have helped provide knowledge on a wide range of topics, as shown in the following list. A number of the speakers are Association members.

GREAT NEWS - OUR HVECA NEWSLETTER IS COMING!

Mrs. Kay Kondor, a recent HVECA member, who is a District Director for AARP, has agreed to be a key member of our newsletter team. We expect that the newsletter will be mailed monthly to our paid-up members.

NEWSLETTER LOGO/MASTHEAD CONTEST!

All great newsletters have a Logo/Masthead which symbolize the organization. We are conducting a contest for a logo/masthead for our newsletter. Please submit your legible sketches at our next evening meeting. The person whose entry is chosen will receive his or her 1995-1996 Association membership free!

NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING.

We invite you to attend our regularly scheduled meetings, the first Thursday of the month, from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at the Dutchess County Business Development Center, 3 Neptune Road, Poughkeepsie. Registrations will be accepted at this meeting. Guset speakers and ajendas will be anounced in the Poukeepsie Journal and Southern Dutchess News etc. We are looking forward to seeing you!
